NCLF Autumn Newsletter 2026

Dear Friends and Supporters of NCLF

Welcome to our Autumn 2026 newsletter.

As we start to turn towards the season of Advent, it would be all too easy to let the busyness

of imminent Christmas preparations crowd out some of the more solemn events since our last

newsletter.

We haven’t forgotten, though.

The news channels have moved on, but we remember the tragedy surrounding Professor

Jason Arday’s passing and continue to hold his family and friends in our prayers. The NCLF

has issued a statement, which you will find on page 3.

In this edition, Minister Shermara Hoyte opens with a powerful lead article about standing

in the gap – a timely call for the Church. Mrs Sonia Grandison reflects on the recent NTCG

Women’s Empowerment Conference, and our ‘Digital Shepherd’, Paul Johnson, calls us to

prepare for passing the baton to the next generation.

We also give God thanks for His divine protection and provision over our friend and

contributor, Revd Les Isaac, and pray for his continued recovery and healing.

Inside, you will find a selection of upcoming events – some are happening very soon, so do

act quickly if anything catches your eye. We would love to hear from you, so please send in

details of your Christmas and New Year events so we can share them with the wider

community.

Thank you for your patience and faithful support.

May God continue to bless and direct your steps, in Jesus’ Name.

Warmest wishes

Jackie RAYMOND
