NCLF Publishes Britain’s First Ever Black Church Political Manifesto

The National Church Leaders Forum (NCLF) – a Black Christian voice for Britain’s Black Majority Churches, (BMCs), has published a manifesto today, in a quest to mobilise their involvement in the current debates leading up to the National Elections in May.

Each of the Manifesto’s nine sections focus  on an theme, for example, PrisonsMental HealthCrime and Policing and Youth and Education: the report candidly reflects on the negative impacts upon peoples and communities; the premise on which Churches have positively engaged as an agent of change; but also on the Church’s own short falls; and considered expectations from both political and socio-cultural sources. Recommendations and points of action are summarised but also interweave throughout.

Church Leaders, specialist professionals, experienced key workers, public and private sector representatives are encouraged to use the Manifesto as a tool of engagement whether in media or as a discussion point at events.

The Black Churches Political Mobilisation is a free publication, available here Black Church Political Mobilisation NCLF online or in printed paperback format. Order a printed copy by emailing info.nclf@gmail.com.
